Month 3: Project and Team Management (PTM)

From the PTM class I had learned the importance of team building. Building up an effective team is one of keys to succeed a project. At the beginning of each class, students were required to bring team building activities and explain why those activities work for team building. Some activities were well designed for team building and I want to use them in the future. Also, our class was getting closer by these activities.

In this class, I learned how to write a business proposal. We made a business proposal as a team. Therefore, I learned what clients want to know from the business proposal as well as how to share tasks among the teammates and evaluate teammates’ contributions. I figure out that communicating frequently and respecting teammates are important to make a effective team from this assignment.

From this class, I started to think about my final business plan. My business plan was a travel agency located in Japan that specializes in sports volunteer tourism. In the PTM class, I used the SWOT Analysis to analyze my business plan. I examined the strengths, the weaknesses, the opportunities, and the treats of my business plan. This method was useful to develop my business plan because I could find out my business plan has some internal weakness and external threats.
